About GDPR

In short, GDPR is an EU regulation concerning the handling of personal data. The purpose of GDPR is to strengthen individuals’ rights regarding how their personal data is handled, stored, processed and more.

Storage of personal data

Personal data means any information that can directly or indirectly identify a living person, such as name, personal identity number, telephone number, email address or online identifiers. We only collect personal data that is relevant to our business and the services we offer you. Below is a list of the personal data we collect:

  • First name and surname
  • Address
  • Telephone number
  • Email address
  • Organisation number for sole proprietorships
  • Booking preferences and special requests
  • Payments and any other information you provide to us in connection with a hotel stay.

For foreign guests, we also collect the following personal data, which is stored for 3 months:

  • The person’s identity document number
  • The person’s signature
  • Personal identity number

(Foreign guests refers to anyone who is not a citizen of Sweden. However, a foreign guest who is permanently resident and registered in Sweden is exempt.)

Use of personal data

We use the personal data to:

  • Administer and create bookings.
  • Inform you by email, phone and text message about relevant information regarding your booking before, during and after your stay with us.

If you provide us with personal data belonging to others, for example in connection with a group booking, we regard this as approval to handle the personal data in accordance with our Personal Data and Privacy Policy.

We collect personal data through booking communication by email, telephone calls and via the contact form on the website. Your personal data is stored for two years before it is deleted from our booking system.

Your rights regarding personal data

Under GDPR, you have the following rights if we process your personal data:

  • The right to access your personal data
  • The right to have incorrect personal data corrected in our systems
  • The right to have your personal data deleted from our systems, unless we have legitimate interests or a legal obligation to continue processing it.
  • The right to object to the processing of your personal data
  • The right to restrict the processing of your personal data
  • The right to withdraw your consent for us to use your personal data
